Welcome
to the Mar Menor

Welcome to our website, an independent guide to the Mar Menor area, in the Murcia region of the Costa Calida.

We own a property here, it has been our home for several years now, and we thought that some sort of 'online information centre' for the area, would be useful - hence 'MarMenor-Online'.

Because we are lucky enough to live and work  in this wonderful location, the information we put on the site is as up-to-date and accurate as possible.

Our sister website (www.Playa-Paraiso-Online.co.uk) covers the areas including Playa Paraiso, Playa Honda, La Manga strip, Cartagena, Cabo de Palos, Murcia, Los Belones, Calblanque and La Manga Club, and is part of the Marmenor-online group.

We hope that, for residents and visitors alike, these sites will prove to be a valuable source of information about the general area and amenities in this lovely part of Spain.

Whether you have bought your property to enjoy your retirement in the sun, to start a new life, as an investment, or just for holidays, finding a good restaurant, the best places to shop or to enjoy a pleasant day out is something you learn by experience.

Recommendations, information on trips, social events etc, can be shared with others on the Playa Paraiso Online Forum. Also, please post any questions you have, there will probably be someone else on there who will know the answer. The Forum is particularly interested in the building of the new promenade from San Javier to La Manga Strip, and the removal of illegal buildings, especially the skeleton building on the seafront at Playa Honda. Playa Paraiso Online also sponsors the website of the La Manga branch of the Royal British Legion. Meetings for the branch are held on the first Tuesday of the month at Julian’s Bar, in Playa Honda.

For those of you with digital cameras, any photographs you want to share can be submitted as a JPEG file, and we will include them in the Gallery.
